We had
lots to say about the onstage spectacle and costumes of Monday night's Lady Gaga concert in San Jose, but as with any recent Gaga show, what happened onstage isn't even that nuts compared with what some fans wore to prove their belonging in the clan of little monsters. Here are the five best costumes from Monday's show, as captured by photographer Christopher Victorio. (And while you're going Gaga, don't miss the f
ull slideshow of Gaga fan costumes and
photos from the actual performance).
1. Pokerface
Little monsters are dedicated, sure, but going to a concert with only cut-out eyeholes to peep through? That's just ridiculous. Isn't it also a waste of a not-so-cheap ticket?

2. Bloody dudeWe didn't see this exact outfit in any of Gaga's videos, but it grabbed our eyeballs anyway. Extra points for originality and liberal use of fake blood.

3. Goth-Victorian?
So, we don't really know what to call this, but we know it looks difficult to pull off -- certainly harder than any Gaga-variety fishnets and black leather.

4. Beer-can hair
Well, they're probably actually soda cans. (Is that a Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk ad on the side?) And missy here wasn't the only one wearing 'em Monday, but she was the one wearing 'em with the best attitude that we photographed. The question, though, is can anyone pose for a picture at a Lady Gaga concert without making her claw-hand pose? (Apparent answer: No.)

5. Telephone head
Note to fans: If all you have to make a costume with are some Milli Vanilli-era tights and a T-shirt from the artist you're about to see, you're going to have to employ everyday household items in order to stand out. See the use of real telephone handsets in the below photo, which won us over for craftiness and effective use of tape (or is that a headband?) The cellphone hanging from his necklace is just ironic.
