Forgive me if this seems redundant, but I'm still deeply enamored with the work of Dublin's Solar Bears. It was only last week that I did my all to get readers of All Shook Down equally stoked on the duo's summery, psych-laden electronic tunes. But listening to bits of their upcoming debut full-length, She Was Coloured In, as well as jamming on the recently released Inner Sunshine EP, have all but made an obsessive stalker out of me. So in keeping with my diligent following of Solar Bears' post-rock-referencing productions, I came across this excellent mix, which one of the outfit's Dubliners recently crafted for FACT.

Rian Trench curated and mixed FACT Mix 177: Solar Bears, which premiered last Friday and will be available for three weeks from that date. On the 30-minute mix, Trench included amazing songs from both contemporary and classic artists the likes of Kate Bush, Joy Divison, Fuck Buttons, Bibio, and Cornelius, along with a song of his band's own, the Inner Sunshine cut "Kill On." The warm, analog tones, hazy soundscapes, and vintage tracks should prove to be a wonderful soundtrack for a sunny Monday afternoon such as this. Listen to Solar Bears' DJ mix and download it here.
