Minutes after Neon Indian's foundation-rattling, eardrum-splattering set at SF Weekly's All Shook Down Music Festival yesterday, we rescued principal member Alan Palomo from a jacket-wearing parrot that was roaming the streets of North Beach. (OK, we sort of interrupted his petting session with the odd bird.) Palomo thanked us graciously by going on camera to talk about his caffeine-fueled 22nd birthday party the previous night, what the future holds for Neon Indian and Palomo's other project, VEGA, and why the parrot experience wasn't that scary after all.
