After rocking the All Shook Down Music Festival in North Beach on Sunday, Grass Widow planted another present in our laps. Today, their label, Kill Rock Stars, posted the trio's artsy, quirky video for "Shadow" on its blog. "Shadow" is so far the only song the girls have released from their impending August album, Past Time. Check it out after the jump.

Grass Widow often attracts comparisons to other girl garage bands from years past (including fellow labelmates Sleater-Kinney) and is praised for reviving and building upon that sound. The jumpy animation in the new video is a great visual representation of  D.I.Y. culture.

When we interviewed all three Grass Widow members earlier this month, they were in the process of filming their next video, "Fried Egg," and said their own Hannah Lew would be behind the camera. According to the group's site, it was filmed at San Francisco's Hunters Point and should be released soon.
