What to do? Monday's Pick: Bone Thugs-n-Harmony
Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, the most important rap group ever to emerge from Cleveland, recently released its most exciting album since the outfit's 1995 debut. The new Uni5: The World's Enemy was helped tremendously by the appearance of erstwhile members Flesh-N-Bone, who had a lengthy incarceration beginning in 2000, and Bizzy Bone, who had been estranged from the group since 2002. The Thugs' signature rapid-fire rhyming style is intact, and "My Life" and "Gone" exemplify the MCs' refreshing frankness about their past problems and future ambitions. All members are expected to perform live tonight at the Independent.
Bone Thugs-n-Harmony throw down with DJ Platurn and D Sharp at The Independent (8 p.m., $30).
