Snag a Free Mix From Dirtybird's Justin Martin

San Francisco native and Dirtybird stalwart Justin Martin is certainly no one that needs to be introduced. Whether mentioned locally or within the disparate satellite scenes of house and techno throughout the world, both Martin and his fellow Dirtybird artists are names synonymous with the music they love. The statement is evidenced in full here: UK online music rag Fact recently reached out to Martin, asking the DJ/producer to throw together a mix to share on its website for free download.
For his DJ set, Martin pulled together 13 choice tracks of soulful, percussion-heavy house and techno tunes that are wholly tasteful to their cores. The mix also includes a special edit of Mike Monday's remix of last year's post-dubstep breakout tune, Joy Orbison's "Hyph Mngo." Along with that jam, Martin's set contains tracks from Julio Bashmore, Pezzner, and fellow Dirtybirds J. Phlip and Claude VonStroke. Regarding his track selection, Martin said, "I'm always trying to find music for my DJ sets that rattles sound systems, but still has enough melody and interesting texture to expand your mind even if you're sitting at home on a snowy or rainy day."
