Exclusive: Obama's Music Video Career Revealed

Categories: Music, Video
By now you've probably heard about the latest, most improbable, and quite possibly most awesome rumor about Barack Obama's past thus far: that he made a cameo appearance in the 1993 music video for Tag Team's "Whoomp! There It Is."

Gawker's Adrian Chen made an admirable attempt to separate fact from fiction, and this morning White House Spokesperson Kate Bedingfield officially refuted that the president spent his pre-presidential years as a music video extra. Never let it be said that journalists aren't out there every single day to bring you the truth about important issues. Unfortunately, they're all wrong. After hours of exhaustive research, we were able to uncover President Barack Obama's storied past as a music video extra. Just look at these stills from other 1993 music videos (excuse our Photoshop).

1. Salt-n-Peppa "Shoop"

Let us bring you back to the subject quick: that's definitely the president in a Salt-n-Peppa sandwich.

2. RuPaul "Supermodel (You Better Work)"

Someone's workin' it in the back row. (Hint: It's the president.)
3. Wreckx-n-Effect "Rump Shaker"
Who wasn't in a music video celebrating the awesome-ness of butts in the nineties?

4. Mariah Carey "Dreamlover"
There he is. Behind the pony.

5. Blind Melon "No Rain"

All we can say is that POTUS' life is pretty plain.
