Track of the Day: Josiah Wolf of WHY?

​Josiah Wolf has found inspiration in a couple different Jews as it were during his musical coming of age. His dad was a rabbi who encouraged he and his brother Yoni (his cohort in the local artsy abstract hip-hop trio WHY?) to pick up an instrument, in Josiah's case a drum kit that'd help with his father's services. Later Josiah learned Silver Jews songs in secret, after years of experience in both a music conservatory and the music industry (he produced cLOUDDEAD's "JimmyBreeze" 10-inch). Now he's stepping out solo with Jet Lag, an album of baroque pop that comes out tomorrow (update from Anticon: "CD/digital in stores 3/16. LP TBA.") on the label he's long called home, Anticon. Check out "The Trailer and the Truck" here, a woozy, Grizzly Bear-ish pop tune propelled from its delicate beginnings by giant rolling drums and a wonderfully hazy horn section.
