We blogged before about
MtyMx, New York tastemaker and promoter
Todd P's upcoming music festival in Monterrey, Mexico. Now the final lineup has been announced for the all-ages weekend bender of music, art, and Mexican culture. The three-day fest with an international lineup runs from March 20-22 and includes sets by headliners Acid Mothers Temple, Andrew WK, Dan Deacon, Fucked Up, Neon Indian, Husker Du's Grant Hart, Lairs, and No Age. But among the sweet picks for this party are a number of Bay Area acts:
Thee Oh Sees, the Mantles, the Sandwitches, Baths, Hunx and His Punx, Young Prisms, and former San Franciscans
Lemonade. Also on the bill, NY
DJ Jonathan Toubin, who has brought his popular Soul Clap dance-offs to San Francisco with great success.
Not only is the lineup crazy good (full list after the jump), but this post-SXSW bender is
super cheap. Three days of non-stop music and dancing will only set you back $30 (single day tickets are $15). And the concert offers plenty for your eyes as well as your ears from the sound of things. It's being staged in an old drive-in on the side of a mountain, and the promoters are planning murals and video installations for the March weekend.
