The Invisible Cities are a promising S.F. outfit with catchy indie-pop tunes
that'd please fans of The Shins and The New Pornographers. Their
new animated video for "Bulldozer" pretty much defines adorable. Basically, a toy bulldozer that enjoys Southern Comfort and Al Green heads
out with some stuffed animal friends for a day at the beach. When they
arrive, it's closed. Oh no! But it turns out when you're a bulldozer, you
can make your
own beach. See also: elephant at a lemonade stand and the

The video,
directed by Melissa Hung, is among several from local bands vying for a slot
in the SF Asian American Film Festival, which starts March 11; you can watch "Bulldozer" along with the other entries
here. Even minus visuals, though, "Bulldozer" is a
harmony-laden merseybeat joy.
