Thee Oh Sees to Play Todd P's Mexico Music Fest

Categories: Music Festivals

There's been a bit of a buzz about the music festival tastemaking New York promoter Todd P. has planned down in Monterrey, Mexico, right around SXSW. This week Pitchfork announced that south of the border showcase, called MtyMx All Ages Festival of Art and Music, is gonna happen, with local garage tweakers Thee Oh Sees among the acts invited to play the inaugural event.

The show, which will take place at an old drive-in movie theater, will also include performances by American artists Dan Deacon, Neon Indian, Washed Out, Pocahaunted, Indian Jewelry, Male Bonding, Best Fwends, and Banjo or Freakout, and Mexican groups Los Fancy Free and Los Margaritos.

MtyMx will overlap with the tail end of SXSW. The Mexico party goes down March 20-22, and SXSW is March 17-21.
