Stream the New Spoon, Big Media's Favorite Indie Act

Spoon fans, get ready to hear a lot more about Austin's big little indie band. The group is releasing its seventh album, Transference, next week, and the major news outlets are lining up to offer their support.

NY Times ran a profile of the group in Sunday's paper, noting that Spoon started around the time that college rock was gaining steam. And now many of its contemporaries--"the Pixes, Pavement, Guided by Voices--are kaput or working the reunion circuit" while these guys have "kept calm and carried on."

And this morning, NPR added the group to its "hear the entire album series," meaning you can stream Transference (minus the ability to see song titles or skip between songs) here.
