Pavement's first West Coast date of its 2010 reunion tour was announced today, as the Coachella lineup went live with the indie rock giants as Sunday's big headliner. The news will likely send the group's many geeked out fans into organizing the So Cal caravans for the April 16-18 giant concert bender--although, of course, once Pavement hits California, you know that means they're also gonna play up here. (I'll put my hope in now that they play Treasure Island.)

Other bit hitters on the lineup: San Francisco's own Girls snagged a Saturday spot (when Muse and Faith No More are the headliners). Jay-Z and Them Crooked Vultures (the joint effort of John Paul Jones, Josh Homme, and Dave Grohl) hit the stage on Friday. And Thom Yorke is listed with four question marks after his name.

Reading the fine print, there's a ton of buzz bands/big indie acts in the supporting lineups, including Vampire Weekend, Grizzly Bear, Fever Ray, MGMT, Dirty Projectors, the xx, Flying Lotus, Phoenix, Spoon, King Khan and the Shrines, Miike Snow, and, well, a ton more. Full lineup here.
