New York's Woodsist label has released vinyl from a number of eclectic psych- and folk-leaning acts. You can thank the indie label for records by the Fresh & Onlys, Meth Teeth, Real Estate, Thee Oh Sees, Woods, and Wavves, among other acts. Now Woodsist has added another San Francisco act to its roster: local duo the Art Museums will release its debut LP, Rough Frame, in 2010.

The pair that comprises the Art Museums are familiar names on the lo-fi, art folk, experimental scene. Josh Alper and Glenn Donaldson are vets (separately) of Whysp, Grux's Granwich Vaudeville Explosion, Skygreen Leopards, and the Jewelled Antler collective. In this new act, Alper and Donaldson craft a sharp pop jangle perfect to soundtrack a Wes Anderson film.

Check out their first single, "Sculpture Gardens," here.
