The Punchline Hits Again: Morrissey Cancels Palm Springs Show

​For those who thought Morrissey was getting better about canceling his performances, some bad news arrived over the weekend. Marc Hawthorne, the writer who detailed the Moz's most memorable cancellations for SF Weekly, forwarded me a note over the weekend that the singer had, once again, backed off from a live show, this time in Palm Springs.

Morrissey was scheduled to play at the Fantasy Springs Resort Casino, but the venue's Web site posted this message over the weekend:

Fantasy Springs Resort Casino management has been informed that Morrissey has "blown out his voice" and will be unable to perform tonight, December 5th, 2009.

I'm sure there's a Smiths song somewhere that covers the sentiment his fans must feel at this point. At least he made his Oakland gig, right?
