​I got an early copy of the new Citay record (Dream Get Together, out Jan. 26) and played it for my road-tripping crew last weekend. They couldn't get over that killer Allman Brothers sound bandleader Ezra Feinberg helps conjure from his guitars, although this release pulls from myriad rock masters.

On Dream's first single, "Careful With That Hat," the band gets its Southern- and space-rock on, conjuring Hawkwind's flights of lysergic fancy behind a sturdy rock 'n' roll groove. Feinberg has collected another class act crew for his latest release, including Tahlia Harbour, Warren Huegel, Diego Gonzalez, Josh Pollock, and Sean Smith, and together they help expose Feinberg's love for harmony (of both the human and guitar variety) within a storm of psychedelics.
