Track of the Day: RevCo
"I'm Not Gay" basically comprises a deadpan, stuttering assertion of the title (and a takedown of Texas) that builds up to a blown out chorus of "It's hard to be a homo/It's hard to be a homo/It's hard to be a homo in the USA."
The song is screaming out for a remix, as that blast off chorus is the best part, although the blatant sarcasm in lines like "I'm not gay. I just pretend I am when I'm drunk. I have a girlfriend. I'm not gay" is an amusing listen too.
My all time favorite Revolting Cocks anthem, however, remains "Beers, Steers & Queers," another anti-Lone Star State ditty mixing cowboy and queer culture.
