​Rock 'n' roll ain't rocket science. Take a simple demand ("Set me free"), add a simple beat, sear some smokin' guitar riffs between a singer's pained spoken-sung-wails, and repeat until you can feel the frontman working himself up into the nervous breakdown he keeps mentioning there in the lyrics.

Israeli rock 'n' rollers Montonix have a new record (their full-length debut, Where Were You When It Happened?) coming out soon, and their label, Drag City, is offering a fresh track to the Monotonix fan legions. It's called "Set Me Free," and like the everything else this trio engages in, the song is a straightforward head rush for those who dig the straightforward rock.
