Fire Engulfs 'Haunted' Music Venue Brookdale Inn

From the Santa Cruz Sentinel's report, it sounds like the main hotel room and the restaurant were spared in the blaze, which appears to have started in an unoccupied room (see, that place is haunted) and spread to back lodging areas. No word yet on how this will affect upcoming shows at the Inn, where SunnO))) played just a few weekends back.
For what it's worth, the last time I was at the Brookdale, I swear we heard strange scratching noises coming from the ceiling, and no one was staying above us that night...
