If you've been counting down the days--20 as of 7/28/2009--until 3EB's new album Ursa Major drops, now you have something else to look forward to.

The dudes responsible for that 1997 megahit "Semi-Charmed Life" have announced their first two tour dates, an August 4 show in Bethlehem, PA and an August 17 show at the Fox Theater in Oakland. Ticket info is here.

While Ursa Major probably wont garner the industry attention and press feeding frenzy surrounding fellow Bay Area natives Green Day's new album 21st Century Breakdown, it's nice to see a bigtime band--ok, formerly bigtime band--with strong local ties return to the limelight--and a local venue.
