Liquid's Walnut Creek club, from the venue's MySpace photo gallery

Walnut Creek literally comes to the 11th St. stretch in SOMA when a new club called Liquid opens on Friday night at 314 11th St. (the old Fat City space). Judging from the venue's MySpace page, this will be the San Francisco branch of a club with the same name name out in the W.C. (and not a revision of the old hole in the wall called Liquid that was in the Mission). Liquid also looks to be a venue that attracts lots (and lots) of women with strong disdain for clothing around their midriff area. Hope they realize temperatures are a little cooler here in S.F. Opening night specials include $1 PBRs, $3 beers, and, um, $100 bottles of Skyy Vodka. That last offer must be based on the Russian sliding scale of discount booze.
