Over the Weekend: How Weird Street Faire, GLAAD Awards and "Gossip" at the Cat Club

On Sunday, 10 blocks of Howard Street were blocked off for the 10th Annual How Weird Street Faire - and all the beautiful colorful people came out to play (the more thoughtful ones brought their mothers). See Hanna Quevedo's photo set.

Saturday evening brought SF Weekly's Photobooth duo of Jen and Mike Cash to the Cat Club for "Gossip," a night of Adam Ant vs. The Pirates. If you posed for the camera against a red velvet backdrop you may be in their gallery.
Also on Saturday: Iconic photographer Sebastiao Salgado made a special, sold-out appearance at the Palace of Fine Arts, presenting work from Genesis - his 12-year project recording pristine corners of the world from remote islands to Africa and the Arctic on. See Tim Wagner's photo set.

Still more Saturday coverage: The GLAAD Media Awards hit the Hilton. All Shook Down correspondent Evan James gives us an irreverent account, complete with napkin sketches.
