On
Friday night, our
traveling photo booth made an appearance at DNA Lounge, where the
Hubba Hubba Revue was staging a sexy coup d'etat during a celebration in honor of
vile dictator Presidente Juan Baptista Maximilian "Little Bobo"
Kingfish (pictured above), and his military strongmen.
Our photographers Mike and Jen Cash report that the fiesta got hot early on, with burlesque performances by
Kiki Bomb, The Twilight Vixen Revue, Bunny Pistol, and more. With tequila, cigars, gun-toting senoritas and free mustache rides, El Presidente has outdone himself yet again. See our Viva la Revolucion photo set here.

Saturday morning took us (and dozens of dogs) to Duboce Park for DogFest 2009, where pups and veterans
competed for best jump, best bark and most "ear-resistible" as kids and their parents looked on. See Hanna Quevedo's colorful photo set
here.

Gordie Young was going to review Morrissey's
Saturday Paramount set for us, but that was canceled when the Moz called in sick -- apparently the smell of grilled meat on the breeze at Coachella was a bit much for his delicate sensibilities. We would be more forgiving if Mr. M wasn't spotted at the DNA Lounge in perfect health
that very same evening. |
