Local electronic composer
Christopher Willits recently announced the release of a new album from his
Flossin project, a band that moves between free jazz, noise, and space rock with a lineup as fluid as its genre shifts. The group has been around since 2004, with Willits and
Zach Hill of Hella acting as bandleaders/curators bringing together transient supergroups from the underground electronica and rock communities. For the new Flossin EP,
Serpents, the pair recorded with
Matmos,
Nate Boyce, and Carson McWhirter of
the Advantage. The result is a bitches brew bubbling with manic energy and cooling into cosmic interludes. Check out "Crystal Cobra"
