Bay Area Producers Conference Announced

It's been said that you can't throw a dead cat into the street without hitting an aspiring rapper, but the same holds true for producers these days. Trickle-down technology has made it easy for anyone with a laptop and some software to make beats - it's taking the next step (gaining industry knowledge and business acumen) which separates the wanna-bes from the Dr. Dres and J-Dillas.

The good news is, there's an upcoming opportunity for up-and-coming local beatsmiths to narrow that gap. On July 25, Good Felaz Entertainment will present the Bay Area Producers Conference at the Cathedral Hill Hotel in San Francisco. The BAPC is a one-day workshop (and excellent chance for networking) which features panels, presentations, performances, and a beat battle which offers $1,000 in cash plus new gear from the conference's sponsors for the winner.

Confirmed guests, panelists and presenters include Traxamillion, Sean T., One Drop Scott, Cellski, DJ Fresh, Balance, Kafani, Beeda Weeda, Furious, Cozmo, Tone Capone, Planet Asia, Track Lordz, and Gennessee, with more TBA. Only confirmed registrants will be considered for the beat battle, and early-bird tix are available from the BAPC website  for just $45. Cash-conscious folks can shave an additional $5 off of registration fees by making a non-perishable food donation to Musiq 4 Hunger.
