Zomby Leaves San Francisco For Dead

Those hoping to get their rave on tomorrow night with Brit Zomby at Rickshaw Stop tomorrow night will be sad to learn dude is not coming now. What happened? A blood feast keep him occupied? Limbs rotting from too much sunlight? Nothing that dramatic. According to the promoter, the guy simply did not get on his plane from London. How does DJ Disco Shawn, who was involved in bringing this show to San Francisco, feel about the cancellation? Take a guess from this email he fired off today: "Don't worry, nothing happened to [Zomby]. We're pretty sure that he decided to just give everyone a giant 'fuck you' and totally flaked out. Fun times." But hey, there are still good times to be had on the horizon. Shawn hosts the next batch of cumbia collages at Tormenta Tropical at Elbo Room this Saturday night, Jan. 10. -- Jennifer Maerz
