Nineties-born forebears to much of today's orchestral, literate indie-pop, Britain's Tindersticks will be touring in support of last year's album, The Hungry Saw. That disc was released by Montreal's Constellation Records -- home to Godspeeed You Black Emperor, Silver Mt. Zion, etc. -- so that should tell newbies a little something about Tindersticks' prevalence for poetic lyricism and varied instrumentation. The upcoming North American tour is the band's first in over a half-decade and the San Francisco show goes down Sunday, March 15, at the Great American Music Hall; visit the GAMH website for your $28 ticketing needs. -- John Graham
