Aquarius Records sang the praises of this East Los Angles act, Geronimo, in 2008, calling it sound "super minimal abstract doom" and noting "a pounding, Neanderthal groove, pelted with squelches, and laced with a strangled inhuman mewling." The latest single from the group, however, has nothing doomy or strangled about it. The song "Prints Tie" keeps with the minimal groove, but it keeps darkness at bay, instead dropping pastel synth melodies, subterranean sax squeals, and distant electronic (and tapped out) beats into a slow-tempoed track. Ease into a gloomy day with this bit of laid-back bliss, available at Geronimo's MySpace page. -- Jennifer Maerz
