Animal Collective Listening Party Tomorrow Night

Animal Collective fans wanting to celebrate the release of the band's latest batch of music, Merriweather Post Pavilion, can meet up the night the vinyl/downloads come out on Tuesday, Jan. 6 -- the CD is out two weeks later -- at the Knockout. Sadly, there's no plan for the pop experimentalists themselves to hit the Mission club, but local PR outfit Terrorbird is nonetheless hosting a celebration in AC's honor. Hit the Knockout tomorrow night to hear new Merriweather tracks (which Pitchfork already got its panties bunched about, granting the record a 9.6 ) as well as live performances by Maus Haus and French Miami. -- Jennifer Maerz
