Los Angeles' abstract hip-hop maestro Flying Lotus (aka Steven Ellison) has been getting all kinds of love from the press in 2008. The latest batch of glowing ink on the dude came from the New Yorker, where Sasha Frere-Jones waxes positively about Steven Ellison's passion for beats, weed, and beats that make you trip like weed. Jones also writes about the Flying Lotus remix of Radiohead's "Reckoner" (one of my favorite Radiohead tracks), which the writer explains, "doesn't remake 'Reckoner' so much as let it float, like a liquid suspended in another, heavier liquid."
