Bang Your Thread...With Metallica?
Music scribe (and occasional SF Weekly contributor) Tim Pratt tagged this photo on his Flickr page and it's getting lots of traffic today...it's a shot of a sewing machine supposedly signed by Metallica up for grabs in a raffle at a very un-heavy metal sounding shop, Wee Scotty. According to the sign, five bucks gets you a chance at a "Huskystar C20" (a machine that, according to this site, "even has a memory function to remember your favorite pattern combinations and mirroring"). Plus, of course, rumor has it sewing all those cute little stage outfits and Halloween costumes really helped the band work through its teamwork issues, much more than the therapy. --Jennifer Maerz

lol that's hilarious, maybe you can keep us up to tabs on when they actually do the draw if this is real or not?
