Ononos is minimal electronic music on cough syrup in outer space. And I dig it. The one song this Seattle act has posted on its MySpace page, "You Are Love" comprises grainy techno beats buffeting eerie echoes of the repeated phrases "We love you," "You love us," and "You are loved" like some extraterrestrial Muppet off its meds. While the song is truly bizarre in every way, the fact that this robotic creature is stuttering about love gives this Ononos character a playful edge to its sharp art angles. -- Jennifer Maerz
