MP3 of the Day: Grampall Jookabox

Now that cold, blustery, baby-making weather is upon us, it seems only fitting to post a song about the frustrations and complications in trying to turn your girlfriend into your baby mamma. Grampall Jookabox recorded a bizarro, Gnarles Barkley-esque track on the subject called, "The Girl Ain't Preggers." Over a beat that sounds banged out on aluminum siding and Coke bottles and melodies that ring like windchimes, Grampall Jookabox (aka David "Moose" Adamson) lists off all the reasons it's the wrong time to bring a new Pampers owner into this world (he's broke, hungry, doesn't have shoes, and is homeless, among other problems). But then by the end, he just really loves those tiny feet, ya know? Grampall Jookabox brings his pregnant beats to the Hemlock on Wednesday, Nov. 12. -- Jennifer Maerz
