The long anticipated new solo show from Jeremy Fish is finally upon us. Fish follows up 2008's Sink or Swim with this year's Ghosts of the Barbary Coast. The latest collection of works is Fish's personal love letter to SF, as he intends to "gain a better understanding of San Francisco's formative heroes, and honor them in my drawings, paintings, and sculpture, as well as finding parallels to the early days of San Francisco in today's contemporary San Francisco, and the cyclical nature of this city and its ill behaviors." Ghosts of the Barbary Coast celebrates its opening reception Dec. 4 at Fifty24SF Gallery from 7-9:30 p.m., and will show until Dec. 30. More details at Fifty24SF.com. --Oscar Pascual
