Do the Hipster Shuffle: Electro Events Swap Venues in Krazy Klub Shake-Ups

LightsDownLow.jpg

Oy, what’s a neon-togged trustfundie to do? Electro is blowing up everywhere -- but suddenly you have to be everywhere at once just to figure out where your favorite lazer-bass event went. For example, this Saturday sees Youngbloodz swap its original location, Haight Street hip-hop club Milk, for the downtown diveyness of the Matador. Meanwhile, Sleazemore and Rchrd Oh?!'s Lights Down Low left the 222 Club when the original owners sold it earlier this fall; now it looks like they're hosting at least one LDL episode at the newly reopened Paradise Lounge next Saturday, Nov. 29. In another case of owner conflicts, Sucker-Punch has ditched the Transfer in favor of the Lower Haight's Underground SF, where it now continues to happen every Monday night. And what of Frisco Disco, that other longtime Transfer event that split the scene a while back? It's still dead — "at least for now" — according to its MySpace page. Knowing hipster narcissism, though, it's certain that you'll find plenty of online Frisco Disco photos to tide you over until the event restarts somewhere else. — J. Graham
