it would not surprise me that Donovan paid some of these girls to go to these parties.

those girls that actually have real (daytime) jobs get harassed weekly (sometimes more than once a week) by Donovan via text message. he tells them that they cant miss his party and that if they go and they bring "girl friends" they will get on the "diamond" list at the door. (this girl in particular hasnt shown her pretty face at a Donovan party in almost two years and she still gets them!?)

regardless Donovan is a self proclaimed douche nozzle. the above only confirms that. oh and hes a mediocre DJ at best.

It sounds like there is quite a bit of animosity from the above posters. I used to go to his parties back at top of the mark and they were much better then. It's a bit too mainstream right now. However, It's SF and most people here are ugly and obnoxious

I love Prestige, thank you Donovan for giving us a place to go with the elegance and class that I love so much.
I drive in from Sacramento to attend, I have been to the last 2 so far and continue to go. Oh, and Donovan doesnt pay me go attend these events. I think if people have nothing nice to say they shouldnt say anything at all.
Great crowd, good thing people like that dont attend.

Donovan is going to be a 50 year old tool, still wearing headphones and trying to do blow off some girls neck, who looks at him and thinks he IS a douche. What is great is how he really thinks he's cool. He actually believes it. De-Nile, not just a river in Egypt.
He's a grade A, first class, gel=smacking tool. He belongs in a shed, along with a rake, shovel, and a bag of shit.

The way he poses with these girls in those photos. It reminds me of a perverted old man in his sixties, flirting and taking pictures with young girls. Desperate and Pathetic.

Trying to be cool, but really looking like the kind of guy most guys want to beat up, for just being so god damn lame.

Ladies, how many of you have gotten emails, of him saying,
"I've got you guys on the Platinum list,no one ever gets on the Platinum list. Please support me. Come to my party.Please?"

....Begging women to come. There are no words to describe the pathetic, retarded, ridiculous fruitcake that makes up this guy.

And Donovan, stop writing responses here as Anonymous, and defending yourself. There is no defense you could muster.
You're as guity as OJ.

The only way you could redeem yourself into heaven would be to take off your diabolical
headphones, and start doing something with your life.

Volunteer to help the homeless people in SF. Volunteer to help kids.
Work at a soup kitchen.

Your whole existance is consumed with these parties, which ARE fake, like the other person wrote. And God knows what kind of ego or fantasy about yourself that you're chasing. But wake up from the dream, pal.
Go to doctors and let them know, you finally found out.
You looked up "slow person" in the dictionary and realized you fit the definition. There was even a picture of you with your hair blow-dryed. God, you're the mayor of Nerdville! And the county clerk.

AND......to anyone who goes to these parties, every week, or month. Come on, people. Go do something with your lives!

This guy is sending out mass emails about Platinum Lists and Hair Gel, don't even entertain him. This is why junk folders were invented. You just encourage more "slow DJ" behavior when you indulge the caveman.

Say no ladies! Get your kicks staying home and having your delicious home-made pies eaten while you watch your rented Playboy videos. That's much better for your desires.

That's Curious……

I was reading another blog with some of the posts of one of the biggest DJs in the world. It was interesting because the posts looked similar in nature to the posts on this article. You had the fans who showed there love by sharing how fantastic of a DJ he was, how much they loved his music, how outstanding his parties are, how beautiful the woman are and how the music made them feel alive..

Then of course like any celebrity this particular world known DJ had the token few people who projected their own insecurities on him by knocking them. I told myself as I read this and that blog " There is only 1 really nasty, insecure person in the world who barfs all over everyone thinking they are talking to others yet only talking to themselves. The only challenge is people seem to see and bump into him or her a lot." I always ask myself this question when someone knocks another. I am wondering who or what that person is honoring by putting other people down? What good things come to a person who knocks people? If someone has the tenacity to actually answer that question. Usually they say something in the realm of " I feel unsafe and unsecure in my own shoes".

Perhaps the perfect mixture of an outstanding positive article and great comments and just a enough bad apple comments means Donovan is fast becoming one of the biggest DJ's? Perhaps this is a reflection of success! Hats off to Donovan for putting himself out there and giving some life to SF! He throws a rocking party!

People I know it's a waste of my time writing here but to ones who read it: Donovan is a great human being and a nice guy(concerning girls) who does parties for living and does it well, at least many people follow him for many years. He doesn't pay anyone to go, if you are an attractive woman - he just doesn't charge you. It's that simple. Wish him luck in his business, it's nothing more that that.
