Rodriguez comes to S.F., backed by local band

Seattle's Light in the Attic records has a hold on reissuing underappreciated albums that become classics for generations to come. Detroit's Rodriguez is no exception to their list of great discoveries. Unearthed by the indie label, the Mexican American singer's recording of city strife and urban love affairs, Cold Fact, was a flop in 1970 that's currenly getting airplay on college stations around the country. And now fans will be able to see the underground legend live, when (((FolkYeah))) brings him to the Great American Music Hall on Sunday, Nov. 23. In LA and in San Francisco, he'll be backed by an awesome up and coming local act, the Fresh & Onlys. -- Jennifer Maerz
