Budget Rock 7 Lineup Announced

The lineup for Oakland's October trash rock 'n' roll-athon, Budget Rock, was released today, with highlights including a Russell Quan birthday party and look-alike contest, a hot dog eating contest, and a pancake eating...um, non contest. You just eat them. The shows are all at the Stork Club Oct. 23-26, and the full list of bands is below, but I would like to personally point out Personal and the Pizzas , a band my friend Robert recently hipped me to because of its ridiculous/brilliant name. As for the music, it would go real nice with a slice ... pure Dead Boys/Stooges gut-rot rock. -- Jennifer Maerz
