Brightblack Morning Light in Santa Cruz on Saturday

Brightblack Morning Light really know how to put on a great live show. Their performance on Tuesday was beautifully slow and soulful, a trip for the stoned and sober alike. So that's good incentive to spend this sunny Fall weekend road tripping it down to Santa Cruz (well, actually Brookdale) for the Rabob and Nabob's show at the "haunted" Brookdale Lodge Saturday night. That creepy, kitschy place is always worth the ride, but with the spirits of these New Mexico hippies heightening the typical Santa Cruz mountains craziness, who knows what'll happen.
