1960s Folk Rock Screening at Page St. Library

Categories: Music

Local rock historian Richie Unterberger is once again hosting his free and fabulous music-focused video footage series at the Page St. Library next week. On Wednesday, Oct. 15, from 7 until 9 p.m., Unterberger will hone his vast collection of rare interview and performance clips down to a focus on 1960 folk rock. This means cool scenes from the Byrds, Bob Dylan, Donovan, Simon & Garfunkel, Love, Fairport Convention, Joni Mitchell, Neil Young, the Lovin' Spoonful, Richard & Mimi Farina, Pentangle, Leonard Cohen, Richie Havens, Tim Buckley, Buffy Sainte-Marie, the Youngbloods, Judy Collins, Peter, Paul & Mary, and others. As always, my advice is to arrive early: these events very quickly become standing room only. -- Jennifer Maerz
