Taste, Slow Food Rocks, The Ant Show and Zombies on the Sunday Streets: Your Tuesday Morning Hangover
If you fled to Napa or Tahoe or elsewhere for that nice little three-day interlude, here's how the weekend went back at the homestead:

Friday: Tyler Callister hit the Ant Show anniversary for the second year in a row at the Red Devil Lounge and raised an eyebrow as the crowd gleefully chanted "Chicks with dicks!" as the B-Cups took the stage. Read Ty's "Sexx, Lipstick, and Rock n' Roll" notes here.
Also on Friday: We envy Tamara Palmer, who headed to Fort Mason for Slow Food Nation's Taste Pavilions Friday for a press preview. See her interview with the authors of Build Your Own Earth Oven at the mouth-watering "Hall of Bread" and flip through her Taste slideshow.

Still more Friday coverage: Melissa Baron deemed Why?'s set at the Great American the best hipster show of the night even though some band members' tit-flashing sister was booed off the stage. Read all about that here.

Saturday: Jackie Lopez and her Distortion 2 Static crew drove to San Jose's Voodoo Lounge for "Feel the Bass," a night of hip hop and booze. Though the cops waited outside, paddywagon in tow, Jackie managed to make the long drive home in one piece. See her notes and photos here.

Saturday and Sunday: Tamara Palmer reported back from Slow Food Rocks, where she saw Gnarls Barkley and marveled at the Grateful Dead-themed chocolates. See all her coverage (videos galore) at SFoodie.

Sunday: Yours truly bladed down the Embarcadero alongside zombies and families for the mayor's beloved "Sunday Streets." It was well-attended, though I wondered why the cops opened the street to traffic just above the Ferry Building an hour before the event ended. Photos here.
And on Monday, we slept in. It was amazing. —Janine Kahn
