Metallica Hit No. 1 Once Again, Breaks Record

Just in case you were wondering how well Metallica's new Death Magnetic has done: in the first three days of its release, the band sold 490,000 copies of the new album, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Billboard also reports that the sales mark Metallica's fifth straight No. 1 album, which set the record for the only band in history to have have five albums debut at No. 1.
