In what's turning out to be a great week for Yay Area rap, we'd also be remiss not to congratulate The Jacka for winning at the Ozone Awards in Houston on Monday night. The Pittsburg-based rapper took home the prize in the "Patiently Waiting: California" category, which means the man is a talent that's been waiting a heck of a long time for people to recognize it. Host Ozone Magazine devotes a portion of its pages each issue to the mini-mag Ozone West, and has quickly established itself as a leader in covering our locals, so we'll try not to be upset that all the other pertinent categories were won by dudes from Southern California. -- Tamara Palmer
