Sony Encourages 'LittleBigPlanet' Ad Theft in SF
Sony wants you to know that Sackboy is their new mascot, and they're making super-fun-happy ads to do so. The character comes from PlayStation 3's upcoming fall title, "LittleBigPlanet," which they hope you'll associate with PS3 as quick as you would Mario to Nintendo. The game's ad campaign hits Los Angeles, New York, and our backyard of SF with "LittleBig Billboards" -- miniature ads the size of small yard signs that feature working lights, ladders, and other high-end art and design. Trinkets that awesome are just begging to be purloined, and a report from AdAge says that's the point. So keep your eyes open for some of that interactive, light-up cuteness and call finders-keepers. --Oscar Pascual
