For those of you hitting the fields in Golden Gate Park for Outside Lands later this month, there should be plenty of unofficial after-parties popping up around the city involving musicians involved with the huge festival. We just got word of one at 12 Galaxies on Friday, Aug. 22 that will start when Radiohead finishes its set. Slated to play at 12 Gs: "Skinny Singers, Lebo, Big Light, Nicki Bluhm and The Gramblers, Ball Point Birds, plus DJ Superchill, and other surprise guests are all part of 'The Golden Gate Gramble'." Keep your eyes peeled for calendars around town listing nicknames/code words/and the like for acts filtering from Outside Lands into the clubs. -- Jennifer Maerz
