More Treasure Island News: New Bands, New Art

(Morning Benders)
We are indeed awash with music festivals this summer, but I am extra excited about Treasure Island. The event was so unique last year, and so much fun (watching Spoon perform while sitting in a Ferris wheel as the sun was setting? Priceless).
This year, the talent is even better: The Raconteurs, Spiritualized, Justice, TV On the Radio, Hot Chip, Fleet Foxes, the Dodos, and tons of other bands. In my mind, pretty much a dream come true there. But there's more: the lineup expanded slightly to include a great local indie pop band, the Morning Benders, along with a couple other popular acts: Port O’Brien, Loquat, and Chester French. And now there's also gonna be a "Treasure Trove" -- a tent featuring zines, a show curated by Triple Base Gallery, and artwork for sale.
