Howlin Rain to Tour with Black Crowes

San Francisco's Rick Rubin-approved rock act, Howlin Rain, is going to hit the road with the Black Crowes this fall, doing both the East and West Coast legs of the Robinson Bros. tour. The acclaimed SF psych rock act already went on the road with Black Mountain and Queens of the Stone Age, but this pairing seems like its most perfect fit to get the band exposure to the hippie rock dudes -- and gals -- around the country. Howlin Rain also plays the Friday date of Outside Lands festival. --- Jennifer Maerz
