The Druglord Connection: From the Windy City to Your Very Neighborhood!

Druglords.jpgBay Area punks the Druglords of the Avenues have sold out ... er, I mean, they've signed on! With Chicago's Red Scare record label, that is. The band's great D.I.Y. debut, Sing Songs, has been picked up by Red Scare and should thus get far greater promotion and distribution than the Druglords' own thin wallet could ever hope to provide. The DLOTA now join rockin' regional peers like La Plebe and the Cobra Skulls as members of the Red Scare family. Read the Druglords' MySpace bulletin post after the jump.

Druglords of the Avenues has decided to join an awesome record label called Red Scare who will be putting out our album Sing Songs. Red Scare is a label we trust to the fullest and has good taste, communication, and devotion when it comes to bands. This label features kick-ass bands like La Plebe, The Falcon, Teenage Bottlerocket, The Methadones, The Lillingtons, Sundowner, The Copyrights, Cobra Skulls, and more! We hope you will love, trust and support this label and its bands. We're happy and and proud to be a part of Red Scare ... so be happy for us. Check it! @ http://www.myspace.com/redscarepunk

So that's the word. And yeah, we couldn't be any happier for them (unless, of course, they bribed us a little). — J. Graham
