Bonus Beats From Rock The Bells
While I didn't get the incredible bird's eye view that our own Oscar Pascual did at Rock The Bells and I was too tired to hit the afterparty with Jackie Lopez, I too was lurking in the shadows of what turned out to be a pretty legendary event for local hip-hop. I borrowed a Nokia N95 video camera phone from the folks at Kyte and ran around like a madwoman filming stuff until the camera died seven hours into the show.
Before the juice ran out and after introducing Method Man to the local horticulture, I managed to do a short interview with Roxy Cottontail, New York party promoter and host of the stellar second stage. I also captured some sneaky snippets of the main stage performances and highlights from the second stage, including Berkeley's The Pack and Atlanta's B.O.B., who brought Fillmore stars San Quinn and Big Rich on stage to perform their local hit "The SF Anthem" -- twice! Check it out and share my excitement. -- Tamara Palmer
