The Lowbrow Art Sale: Michael Sieben, Nate Frizzell & Bob Dob

Tue Jul 15, 2008 at 08:00:00 AM

Michael Sieben "Art Print Series #8"

Michael has been a writer for Thrasher Magazine, Fecal Face and runs the Okay Mountain Art Space. He recently teamed up with The Decoder Ring to release this very cool print - set on heavy rag paper, signed, numbered and embossed. The print was made from 20 different screens and has wax and coffee in the inks. There are 80 to purchase. Get It Here.

Nate Frizzell "Nest"

A graduate of Otis College of Art and Design, Nate a has very infectious, colorful style. He also has a new print available from the fine folks at A Paper Tiger. The print is 12" x 20" and is limited to 25, and like the previous Joshua Petker print they released, there is also an artist's edition that is personally touched up by the artist. Get It Here.

Bob Dob "Lonely Day"

Bob has teamed up with Thumbtack Press to help raise some money, $3500 in this past year alone. This print available from Thumbtack and every cent of it will be donated to the St. Jude Children's Hospital. So you're getting a killer print and helping out. Can't beat that. Get It Here.

Stuntkid "Hellboy"

I'm very excited about the new Hellboy movie, and to really get all the fans amped up, Uberbot Gallery is currently having a show entitled "Let Them Eat Pancakes! The Hellboy Art Show!" There is some really killer art in the show, namely the print shown here by Stuntkid. The print is framed and is 13" x 13." Maybe Hellboy should get that clumping kitty litter, I hear it's easier to deal with. Get It Here.

Dave Crosland "The Gamma Rays Made Me Do It."

Dave Crosland is an illustrator out of San Francisco, and he submitted what has to be the coolest Hulk-inspired piece to the Stan Lee Tribute Show. I really love the title too, maybe it's just because "Gamma Rays" sounds super awesome. This print is 8.5 " x 5.5" and is signed and numbered by the artist, and most importantly is only $25, how can you pass that up? Get It Here.

(LOWBROW runs every Tuesday on All Shook Down. Till then, check out the LOWBROW archive.)
